Immunizations
Infant, child, and adult immunizations are available through the St. Joseph Health Department. Until further notice, lobby seating has been adapted to ensure physical distancing and to limit exposure to communicable diseases.
See the childhood immunization schedule as recommended by the CDC.
The Clinic accepts many health insurance plans to help off-set the costs of vaccinations. Immunizations do not require a co-pay or out-of-pocket expense. Immunizations are provided in the clinic through the Vaccine for Children (VFC) program to children from birth through 18 years of age. The health department also accepts Missouri HealthNet (Medicaid).
Services are provided Monday through Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m., other than the last business day of the month when we are closed in the afternoon to conduct vaccine inventory. Please bring a copy of the most recent immunization record and insurance card. All children less than 18 years of age must be accompanied by parent or guardian. For additional information on the vaccines available please call 816-271-4725.
The Clinic organizes an annual public flu clinic that is typically held at an off-site location that is convenient to the public and can accommodate several hundred patrons. The annual flu clinic welcomes adults who live and work in St. Joseph. The vaccine at our annual flu clinic is free of charge; however, we ask patrons with Medicare or health insurance to provide their card.
The clinic can provide immunization clinics in the public, private, and parochial schools. Contact us for more information.
