Meetings

Meetings are held as needed, at such times as the board determines necessary to fulfill its required duties.

Members

Minimum qualifications for the five-member board are that three members shall hold a valid master mechanical license, two members shall hold a valid journeyman mechanical license, one member shall be a general contractor or superintendent of construction with at least ten years' experience in the building trace, and one member shall be a registered architect or engineer. There is currently one vacancy.

About the Board

This board hears all appeals from decisions of the mechanical inspector's interpretation of the Mechanical Code. The board may also prepare once a year a report to the council and the mayor containing its recommendations regarding any changes, which should be made in the Mechanical Code.
